What is your name and role within the band?

Josh–i play guitar and sing and do various other stuff when needed

How did you start?

Me and my friend Richard started writing songs in high school together, we started writing in college for Tallows when we got our hands on some new equipment and wanted to incorporate samples and found sound with our math-rock inspired instrumentation.

Where are you based?

We are based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Its in middle america. everyone is overly friendly here. its nice.

Please give an example of your music writing process?

Typically it starts with a track richard or I will build from guitar or recording programs, after passing it back and forth we will take it to our bass/drummer once its structured and fine tune it into a song.

What are you working on right now?

Right now we are working on our third record

What is your gear setup?

Two guitars, bass, full drum kit, sp-404 sampler with keyboards and a drum machine.

What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?

Outside of music i work as an architect, the process of designing a song and a building are wildly similar sometimes.

How would you describe your music genre?

Experimental pop

Do you know any music theory?

I dont, i just play around with notes until it sounds good. the rest of the band does though.

What are your plans for the future?

Keep writing and creating as long as we can.

How did you get into music?

The first Britney Spears CD i got for my 8th birthday.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Routines by hoops and new slowdive record are on repeat currently for me.

Who are your top 5 influences and icons?

All 4 backstreet boys and 1 of the NSYNC guys, just not Justin.

When are you playing next?

We are writing currently and just finished up our last round of shows for the next few months.
