Vallis Alps share new single ‘So Settled’

VALLIS ALPS SHARE NEW SINGLE ‘SO SETTLED’

The now Sydney/New York-based electronic duo, Vallis Alps are excited to share their new single ‘So Settled’, their latest and last track for 2017. Already topping Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ playlist, the track is another taste of the pair’s unmistakably bright and euphoric sound pairing Tosif’s effortless vocals with Ansari’s vibrant and confident production. Listen to it below:

Vallis Alps say of the track, “So Settled is a result of pushing our musical boundaries and shows an attitude shift in our writing process. When writing the Fable EP, we tried really hard to represent musical ideas that were almost fully formed in our heads. But with So Settled, as with our recent song Oceans, we tried to let go of those expectations and allow the song to go where it wanted. It naturally gave way to a song that is our most ‘acoustic’ sounding and immediately became the most fun to play live.”

The release of ‘So Settled’ follows an exciting year for the pair who have since the release of their follow up Fable EP, toured the world playing festival such as Falls Festival (Aus), Lightning In A Bottle (US),Splendour In The Grass (Aus), We The Fest (Indonesia), Reading & Leeds (U.K.), North Coast (US), Listen Out (Aus), Oh Yes (Aus) and Spilt Milk (Aus) and played over 40 sold out headline dates across the U.S., U.K., Europe, Canada and Australia. Read the review of their recent show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg across The NY Times here.

Recent single ‘Oceans’ boasts itself as a triple j mainstay in 2017, with the track having also peaked at #1 on Hype Machine, #11 on the iTunes Dance Singles Chart and entering into Australia’s Top 100 Shazam Chart at #49.

Vallis Alps also played their first ever acoustic performance of their debut single ‘Young’ at a recent Sofar Sounds session in London as well as their rendition of The Shin’s iconic track, ‘New Slang’ on triple j’sLike A Version.

‘So Settled’ is out now, buy/stream it on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Bandcamp, YouTube and more.

“There was not a single dull moment during the 45-minute set.”
The Brag

“Vallis Alps are delivering all the feels with their ‘Fable’ tour…It was a crowded house and the excitement was palpable, bringing out a breed of energy in the duo’s performance not expected from their ethereal tunes…what followed was an impassioned set.”
Fashion Journal

“One can’t help but think that despite everything they’ve achieved, we’ve only just scratched the surface of what Vallis Alps are capable of.”
The Interns

“…the pair delivered their blended brand of synth pop with a fiery combination of intricacy and vigour.”
The Line Of Best Fit

“As Vallis Alps reach the end of their set, we feel pure joy and happiness.”
The Music

“The Australian duo Vallis Alps has racked up hundreds of thousands of SoundCloud plays with tracks like “Fading” and “East,” which match soft, melodic vocals to pillowy synth-pop production. It’s music meant for a quiet evening at home or, in this case, an exceptionally relaxing night out.”
The NY Times

“Oceans boasts Vallis Alps’ typically upbeat and euphoric sound, with the soft vocals of frontwoman Parissa Tosif floating above the single’s perky production, which plucks away underneath.”

Fashion Journal

“Melodic vocals intertwined with heavy drops and lunar-themed graphics complimented the sounds perfectly to add another dimension to the already out-of-this-world experience…Vallis Alps never failed to deliver the trance inducing melodies and bouncy-bassy drops.”
Grok Online

“Vocalist Parissa’s stage presence is so elegant and soothing, the visual epitome of her vocals. Her graceful movements are a pleasure to witness live, though as equally so is producer David’s passion and energy.”
Scensctr

“…an enchanting performance.”
Sound Of Boston

“A chill, pop sound unlike any other, Vallis Alps are truly a unique electronic outfit with a stellar live show.”
Speaker TV

“Wrapping up the set with ‘Fading’ was truly as majestic a moment as they come, and as the whole Metro Theatre were united in singing the chorus, a moment of reflection came of wonder and pride for these incredible talented artists who were selling out their second Sydney show in two nights. One can’t help but think that despite everything they’ve achieved, we’ve only just scratched the surface of what Vallis Alps are capable of.”
