“The kind of singer, songwriter and performer we need” – Noisey

“Pop’s most audacious new star” – ES Magazine

“The first steps of a star in waiting” – DIY

Following the impressive introductory release ‘Call Me Danger’, Tayla enters 2017 with one of the years most distinctive new releases and returns to snatch the crown with new single ‘Coming Back Around’.

Receiving its debut spin on Mistajam’s 1xtra show, ‘Coming Back Around’ is an ambitious statement of intent that puts Tayla on a clear path to becoming pop’s next frontrunner. It’s a fierce arrival from the Birmingham native that sits confidently and boldly in its own uniquely sounding lane

On the inspiration behind the song, Tayla explains: “‘Coming Back Around’, is pretty much about avoiding bad vibes and bad people that want to fuck you over when things are going good for you. Some people always seem to keep on ‘Coming Back Around’ like a blue bottle fly that you can’t quite kill”.

The straight-up songsmith’s immaculate delivery and her unshakeable confidence mark her out as pops new game changer. ‘Coming Back Around’ is set to be a staple of summer’s playlists, with its infectious 90’s R&B hooks, darkly euphoric undertones and hip-hop attitude layered over a pop landscape.

Having already received accolades from media including Noisey, The New York Times, Dazed, Rollacoaster and DIY amongst others, to say the rising star is a force to be reckoned with would be an understatement. After performing her debut live show at a sold out Sink the Pink, she was invited to perform at the Jazz Cafe in Camden. With more live shows to be announced across the Summer, Tayla has also been announced as one of the artists to perform at this year’s Selfridges ‘New Music Night’s’ on July 23rd 2017. Other artists set to perform include A$AP Rocky, Raye and Skepta, amongst others.

This is just the beginning of a landmark year for the newcomer, firmly positioning her as one of 2017’s brightest new hopefuls.
