PIERCE BROTHERS TO RELEASE NEW EP MY TIRED MIND ON NOVEMBER 17

BROTHERS TO JOIN TASH SULTANA ON UPCOMING AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES

After two years in the studio and on the road touring the world, Melbourne folk-pop duo Pierce Brothers are pleased to announce their brand new EP My Tired Mind, which will be release on November 17 and is available to pre-order now.

The My Tired Mind EP follows on from the boy’s ARIA Chart Top 10 EP’s The Records Were Ours and Into The Dirt. The first single to be taken from the upcoming EP will be Follow Me Into The Dark, can be streamed here, while the official video can be viewed here.

Pat Pierce told us that “Follow Me Into The Dark is about literally lying awake going over and over your past decisions, and searching for ways to move on.” The Brothers wrote the song while in the studio together, “by the end of the first day we’d written and recorded almost the whole thing!” Jack wrote most of the lyrics while Pat worked on the structure. “We would usually bring a song to the table mostly formed and then work on it, but this was different. This was one of our most collaborative songs.”

The Pierce Brothers are currently overseas touring with Tash Sultana and to coincide with the release of their latest EP, the guys will again join forces with Tash, hitting the road for her upcoming national tour dates throughout November and December. Full dates below.

Pierce Brothers have made their way from busking on the streets of Melbourne to delivering irresistible energy in their world-class, sold out live shows everywhere from England to the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada and Australia wide. The multi-instrumentalist twin brothers, Jack and Pat, sold 50,000 EPs independently before signing to Warner Music Australia.

Saturday 18th November – Adelaide Entertainment Theatre, Adelaide SA

Friday 1st December – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney NSW

Thursday 7th December – Freo Arts Centre, Fremantle WA

Saturday 9th December – 3 Oceans Winery, Margaret River WA

OUT NOW

Melbourne duo Pierce Brothers, aka multi-instrumentalist twins Jack and Pat, have released the video for Take Me Out, the first single from their EP The Records Were Ours, which was released last month and debuted at #9 of the ARIA album chart.

The guys recently toured the East Coast of Australia on a sold out headline tour, and are about to embark on another European run including sold out headline shows and major festivals across Europe. The band will then briefly return to Australian shores before heading off supporting Tash Sultana across the USA and Canada in October.

The Records Were Ours is the first in a trilogy of EPs and is the result of two years of work in the studio and at live performances.

“We’ve been wanting to write a riff based blues track for a long time,” the Pierce Brothers said, “and Take Me Out started with the riff first. We both got excited when we started it and we’re really happy with where we got it.”
