Needles//Pins Debut Full Album Stream Ahead of Release

by the partae June 26, 2017
written by the partae
Needles//Pins are Adam Solomonian (guitar & lead vocals), Tony Dubroy (bass & back up vocals) and Macey Budgel (drums). They have become legendary in Vancouver BC for wild shows and gruff but catchy punk rock hooks. The band draws from classic punk rock roots like The Buzzcocks and Stiff Little Fingers but have a unique West Coast approach that would align them with the catchiest of the Lookout! or Dirtnap Records catalog.  NPR says “If you like a little dirt in your power-pop, Needles//Pins should already be on your radar.”
Today, the band is stoked to unveil a full album stream of their upcoming album ahead of release date (see CBC Radio debut)….
Listen Needles//Pins “Good Night, Tomorrow”
Needles//Pins began in Vancouver in 2010 as an excuse for three friends to hang out. The band have signed up with Mint Records and Dirt Cult Records to release their new LP, Good Night, Tomorrow, on June 30th. Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung, The Pack A.D.) recorded Good Night, Tomorrow in Vancouver at Rain City Recording and it shows an organic growth from their previous releases. The voices are gruffer from hundreds of shows and there is a richer appreciation of their influences and roots at play in the song writing. The band is gearing up to promote Good Night, Tomorrow with heavy touring across Canada and The US as well as festival appearances like last week’s Ottawa Explosion and Sled Island this week.
Needles//Pins Shows
06/22 Calgary, AB – Local 510 (Sled Island)
06/23 Calgary, AB – The Commonwealth (Sled Island)

Needles//Pins Release “Miracle” Video!

by the partae June 19, 2017
written by the partae
Needles//Pins began in Vancouver in 2010 as an excuse for three friends to hang out. The band have signed up with Mint Records and Dirt Cult Records to release their new LP, Goodnight, Tomorrow, on June 30th, but you can see the Mike Babiarz-directed video for a new track now (see clrvynt debut)!
Watch/Post “Miracle” Video
“This is a video about 3 friends in dire straits, ready to go down with the ship. Ending on their terms, playing music and taking Military grade psychedelics, of course.” says bassist Tony Dubroy of the video, adding “We turned our jamspace into a bomb shelter and shot this in two 14 hour days. It was hell.”
Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung, The Pack A.D.) recorded Needles//Pins new LP in Vancouver at Rain City Recording and it shows an organic growth from their previous releases. The voices are gruffer from hundreds of shows and there is a richer appreciation of their influences and roots at play in the song writing. Clrvynt says “Needles//Pins love power pop, but their version is in the corner of bands like Leatherface -tough and hard-nosed, but with a keen sense of melody and a particular focus on a damn good riff. Vocals are clean, in much the same way that Lemmy’s vocals are as well, and there is an overall muscularity to the whole thing. Yet by definition, you could call this -gulp- pop punk.”
The band is gearing up to promote Goodnight, Tomorrow with heavy touring across Canada and The US as well as festival appearances at Ottawa Explosion this weekend and Sled Island.
Needles//Pins Shows
06/16 Toronto, ON – The Horseshoe *
06/17 Ottawa, ON – Club Saw (Ottawa Explosion)
06/22 Calgary, AB – Local 510 (Sled Island)

Needles//Pins Release New Track From Upcoming Mint Records/Dirt Cult Records LP!

written by the partae
Needles//Pins began in Vancouver in 2010 as an excuse for three friends to hang out. The band have signed up with Mint Records and Dirt Cult Records to release their new LP, Goodnight, Tomorrow, on June 30th, and you can hear a new song now (see Exclaim! debut)….
Listen/Post “All The Same”
Needles//Pins are Adam Solomonian (guitar & lead vocals), Tony Dubroy (bass & back up vocals) and Macey Budgel (drums). The band has become legendary in Vancouver for wild shows and gruff but catchy punk rock hooks. The band draws from classic punk rock roots like The Buzzcocks and Stiff Little Fingers but have a unique West Coast approach that would align them with the catchiest of the Lookout! or Dirtnap Records catalog. Though none of their songs overstay their welcome, you’ll find yourself humming one of their hooks days after seeing them play or hearing the record.
