Palm Tree Music Festival closed out Day 3 and its final run of Australian shows, in Melbourne on Sunday. The sun was shining, the crowd was pumping, and everyone was enjoying the fun vibes of a large-scale event, showcasing that events in Melbourne are back and in a big way! Being the Labour Day long weekend, also proved that music fans were more than ready to have a good time and that is exactly what they did.
Frank Walker opened the show with uplifting & energetic house vibes (with special guest Aussie vocalist Sam Fischer singing hit single ‘This City’). Sam Feldt (also brought back Aussie vocalist Sam Fischer – to sing their big track ‘Pick Me Up’) turned things up a notch with a thumping set and featured ‘Down Under’ which went down a treat with these Aussie fans. Lost Frequencies was overjoyed to be playing his 3rd ever Australian show, with a high-energy, light & music production show, entertaining current and many new fans. Palm Tree Crew Co-Founder DJ/Producer & Musician Kygo (joined by the stunning Aussie vocalist Conrad Sewell) performed an ethereal piano & strings rendition of their hit track ‘Firestone,’ sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy. Soon after, Kygo’s 2nd special guest Dean Lewis graced the stage to an absolute eruption of noise, even jumping into the crowd at one stage. The performance of their massive track ‘Lost Without You’ will be one for the record books.
The Melbourne finale ended with the Godfather of Dance music, Tiësto, who took the crowd on an epic journey, mixing in his current hits ‘The Motto,’ ‘The Business’, ’10:35’ to his classic anthems ‘Silence,’ ‘Adagio for Strings,’ Love Comes Again,’ to his huge remixes he’s loved and known for. Credit must also go to Andy Hurst and the Palm Tree Music Festival production team for their beyond impressive and world class stage, laser and pyrotechnic extravaganza, it really was a treat for everyone in attendance.
With the inclusion of ‘Palm Club’ in Australia (which Sold Out in all markets), it was a fantastic experience for patrons, who had access to food and bottle service, as well as the special edition of Palm Tree Music Festival merchandise. In the past, PTC has collaborated with Puma Golf, Aviator Nation, Siegelman Stable, Duvin and more, bringing their rendition of festival merch to Palm Tree Festival goers.
