Laidback Luke has long been a champion of spotting new talent, and was one of the first supporters of the prodigious Florian Picasso. Now the two team up for a huge release on the prestigious Spinnin Records. Luke left his home Mixmash Records before for a release on this Dutch powerhouse and for Florian it will be the 4th release on Spinnin Records. Now they both return to Spinnin with this fantastic collab “With Me” ft Tania Zygar.
Fizzing with energy and colour from the off, With Me is a track that’s packed full
of melody and lots of gorgeous sounds. Soft piano chords and trancey arpeggio
bubble away in the intro before Tania Zygar’s sleek vocals enter the fray. String
style melodies bring the emotion as a half-time beat teases the drop.
A massive filtered snare roll thrusts the track into the stratosphere alongside huge
white noise builds, leading us into the drop that’s powered by a phat electro
house bassline. Ravey stabs punctuate this rubbery groove as the vocal cuts back in,
on-beat percussion adding another layer of drive. The contrast between the
euphoric breaks and the dark main sections is stark and thoroughly addictive.
Luke recently announced the line-up for his Super You&Me stage at Tomorrowland,
where Florian features alongside the likes of Blasterjaxx, DVBBS and many more.
