Riverside Festival announces brand new stage and next wave of artists for 2019 The seventh edition of Riverside Festival gets even more special with the addition of a new stage and the next wave of artists joining them this 25 - 26 May Bank Holiday Weekend. Taking place in the grounds of the iconic Zaha Hadid designed Riverside Museum on the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow and always evolving, this year the festival organisers are expanding with the brand new Dockland Area. The new Dockland Stage will feature sets across the weekend from John Talabot (Barcelona’s master of slow building electronica and no stranger to festivals like Primavera and Dekmantal), Mella Dee (the Warehouse Music party-starter who is on a soaring trajectory and consistently playing sold out shows), Paranoid London (a trio of acid house rebels about to drop their second album and taking the underground scene by storm) and Young Marco (one of the best DJs in the world at the moment and part of the fabric of the Amsterdam music scene). The Docklands will also be brimming with outstanding homegrown talent including Edinburgh’s Athens of the North, who are one of Scotland’s hottest labels and DJ teams while Glaswegian duo Brain Dancing have records out on Boys Noize & Optimo Music. Joining them are Thunder Disco Club who are celebrating 10 years in the game and will be celebrating with a special special Italo Disco set. Also getting involved will be queen of the Glasgow underground scene Aisha, Co-Accused who have a residency at club 69 in Paisley, DJ Smoker & Andy Barton (MissingPersonsClub), Fly Club resident LaLa, and Animal Farm main man Quail. They accompany the huge line-up already announced playing across stages hosted by: Slam’s Maximum Pressure, Bicep, Denis Sulta and La Cheetah
