What is your name and role within the band?
My name is Mauro and I’m the only member of my band…so maybe it isn’t a band.
How did you start?
When I was 10 years old, playing piano at home, recording myself with a tape recorder.
Where are you based?
Los Angeles.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
Turn instruments on, play rec. and record everything, than listen back and edit, choose what I like. The editing process is as important as the recording.
What are you working on right now?
I’m working on something completely new, I prefer not talking about it yet…still in the process of forming in my head.
What is your gear setup?
Sampler, modular synth, guitar, plenty of pedal effects. You will never see me with a laptop on stage.
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
Painting and film. I watch way more classic movies than I listen to music. My favorite director is Tarkovsky and Fellini.
How would you describe your music genre?
Half awake music, it’s not for dreamers, it’s for people that find it hard to wake up in the morning.
Do you know any music theory?
Nope…

I have many but nothing I want to share.
