THE SPEEDBUMPS’ THIRD ALBUM

WHEN THE DARKNESS COMES

Congratulations to The Speedbumps, who released their highly anticipated third albumWhen The Darkness Comes today. Culture Collide streamed the album, calling it “12 tracks that flow through pop folk hooks and smooth grooves that remind you why you like music.” The band will kick off a slew of tour dates through the Midwest and Northeast on July 15 in Columbus, Ohio to promote the new release.

The Akron group have grown from songs that earned them  IMA and AMA awards, as well as performance slots alongside acclaimed acts like Andrew Bird, G. Love, OKGO and more. When The Darkness Comes is an audible evolution, engaging more indie rock in their raucous folk than the band has ever before and evoking as much emotional poignancy as physical excitement. Songs wanders purposefully through the grit of Northern Ohio neighbors The Black Keys, the thoughtfully breathy melodies of Ryan Adams and the panicked pace of Trampled By Turtles, all at once.
