One of 15 Artists who contributed to the ‘Songs for Australia’ album, The National have chosen to cover one of Australia’s most iconic songs, INXS’s ‘Never Tear Us Apart’.  Available now on all digital platforms, the band were thrilled to be able to contribute to the project and dived straight in to record and deliver this simply stunning version of a classic.  Artwork for the ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ single was kindly donated by Australian Photographer Chris Searl.   'I'm so grateful to have a good excuse to cover 'Never Tear Us Apart'.  One of my favourites ever.  Thanks for bringing us in....  Hope it helps a little bit.'  Matt Berninger - The National. Fans can catch The National touring Australia this March & April.   ‘Songs for Australia’ is an extraordinary album made by a collection of global artists who have each donated their time to record a cover of an Australian song. The Album was made to raise money for organisations in Australia who are working towards creating a better future for the country and helping to rebuild during and after the bushfire crisis.
