Mutual Benefit released “Diamond Day,” off his forthcoming full album cover of Vashti Bunyan’s Just Another Diamond Day, today. Stereogum, who premiered the song, called it “a somber meditation accompanied with sultry violin and melancholic banjo melodies.”
Mutual Benefit’s Just Another Diamond Day, which is out this Friday, June 23 exclusively via Turntable Kitchen’s Sounds Delicious vinyl subscription series, includes the previously released tracks “Glow Worms” and “Jog Along Bess.” It features the below artwork and will be limited to 1000 copies on vinyl only. Participating artists were asked to choose any full-length album they love and reimagine it from front to back. SOUNDS DELICIOUS will produce the recordings on limited edition vinyl packaged in beautifully designed jackets and exclusively release them to members of its subscription service every month.
