Following on from ‘Real Thing’, the band’s biggest single to date, ‘Beliefs and Prayers’ is a fanfare about people pretending to be nice when they’re really not. As lead singer Hannah Joy explains, “It’s rambunctious and intense and if it were a cheese it would be roquefort.” The mini-album New Songs For Old Problems was recorded at the band’s own studio in Sydney and produced by Tim Fitz Last night Middle Kids wrapped their massive Australian headline tour which saw each and every show sell out, so strong was the demand for tickets.  The band will play at the APRA Awards next week and then head overseas for a solid two months of touring, including a US tour opening for Local Natives and their largest UK headline show to date at London’s Heaven on June 25.  New Songs For Old Problems will be released on May 24, including limited edition clear vinyl which is available for the pre-order period only.
