L-VIS 1990 – “DO MY TING FT. MISTA SILVA (UK FUNKY REMIX)” – OUT 13.03

In October of last year, renowned UK producer, DJ and Night Slugs co-founder L-Vis 1990, aka James Connolly, released his “12 Thousand Nights” mixtape. A progressive vision of hip-hop, R&B, dancehall and pop, 12 Thousand Nights was well received by critics; with reviews declaring it a testament to L-Vis 1990’s ear for raw talent” (Pitchfork).

Returning his focus to the club, L-Vis 1990 is releasing “12 Thousand Nights Club” on March 23rd; fourteen reworks of the biggest tracks from the mixtape.
Hot on the heels of the lead single from “12 Thousand Nights Club” – L-Vis 1990 – “Flexin ft. Taliwhoah (Garage Remix)” – which was debuted last month, L-Vis 1990 is releasing the 2nd single on March 14th;

his UK Funky take on one the of the biggest tracks from his mixtape; “Do My Ting ft. Mista Silva” featuring new vox from Silva and live strings from The Grime Violinist.

“I recently took some time out from the world of club music, to focus on song writing and mastering the process of working with vocalists. My “12 Thousand Nights” mixtape was the result of that. However, I’ll never forget where I came from and it was important for me to see where these songs could go as club tracks. These remixes are about rediscovering my love of club music and the sounds that got me excited about making music in the first place.” – L-VIS 1990

Further endorsing his reputation for discovering new talent, L-Vis 1990 has enlisted an impressive global army of remixers; each of whom have added their own unique vision to the project. We have Jersey’s own Uniiqu3, an L-Vis collab with NY’s Quest?onmarc (Qween Beat), the Flex Dance Music pioneer from Brooklyn; Uninamise, Atlanta’s Leonce (Fade To Mind), Monetary, Mexico native Zut Zut (NAAFI), Night Slugs producers Neana and Sheen, Dean Lyon (Track & Field) and closing things out is newcomer DJ Veneno from Rio Di Janeiro.
