With three million Soundcloud followers, Kidnap Kid is currently one of the UK’s strongest exports. While still at university, the house young gun was awarded iTunes USA’s ‘Best Electronic Song’ of 2012, and toured with the likes of TEED, Rudimental, AlunaGeorge and Disclosure. Attesting to achievements that not many others his age can, Kidnap Kid’s remix skills have been sought out by Naughty Boy ft. Emeli Sande and Disclosure, while Lulu James requested his production services.
In the short space of three years, Kidnap Kid has rallied a strong following which has seen him perform at esteemed stages around Europe and USA including fabric, Sankeys Ibiza, Air, Village Underground, XOYO, Ministry of Sound, and for festivals like Glastonbury, Coachella, BPM Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. With a loyal following Down Under, he will finally visit Australia for his debut tour.

Matt Relton, aka. Kidnap Kid’s music career started strong rather early: he must have been the only university student to ever have won the iTunes ‘Best Electronic Song’ in 2012 for his release ‘Vehl’.
His stamp onto the electronic music scene cemented rapidly in the years that ensued and in 2016 he launched his own record label, Birds That Fly with ‘Moments’ featuring Leo Stannard. Picking up solid support from across the continents, it showcased a darker, sleeker end of his dance-floor ready output and was labelled “a slick, timeless production that [Kidnap Kid] has become so synonymous with” by i-D magazine.
Kidnap Kid continues to tour relentlessly across America, Canada and Mexico, rolling into a summer packed with Ibiza and European dates. One thing is for certain; the world’s clublands will be seeing a lot more of the Sheffield producer who remains one of the UK’s most successful exports.
