Inspired by her affinity for Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films, and the cool, melodramatic soundscapes of spaghetti westerns – she wanted to create something that could exist in that world, and in turn, create a world of her own. A Taiwanese-Canadian indie rock artist from Vancouver, Jia’s music touches on subgenres of desert rock, and dream pop, with lush vocals and a cinematic soundscape that will transport you to another world. She was chosen as one of ten singer-songwriters to participate in the Women in Music x She is the Music Songwriting Camp in 2021, where she received masterclasses from industry professionals and mentorship from the top songwriters in the industry.
