Recently performed a live session for Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6 Music [listen]
‘Simulation’ is the strident sound of London based post-punk group Ice Baths. It is a sound hewn from restless energy and angled precision, forming music that is as tight as a coiled spring. Chiming guitars interlock and weave mesmeric shapes across the track as the drums surge forward with a relentless momentum.
It is a vital introduction to the groups forthcoming EP ‘Decadent Sprinter’ a collection of songs that are imbued with a sense of manic creativity, with the group deftly seeking out the space between light and shade, aggression and ambience. Last week the band performed a BBC 6 music session for Tom Ravenscroft [listen].
‘Decadent Sprinter’ is arriving 3 May via Blank Editions and is being issued as a 1-sided 12” vinyl so it can be experienced as a seamless, unbroken listening experience. The EP was recorded in the confines of industrial North Greenwich with producer Euan Hinshelwood in his analogue tape studio.
