Brisbane beat maker, Feki reveals the pop infused, pulsating track “Love You Better”, featuring vocals from Karina Wykes of rising electronic trio, GLADES and co-produced with Styalz Fuego. Premiering on triple j’s 2017 hosted by Richard Kingsmill and Mr Suicide Sheep, the track drops as Feki announces his November headline shows at Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar, Melbourne’s Worker’s Club and Black Bear in Brisbane, before playing Canberra’s Spilt Milk Festival.
Currently supporting Paces on his national tour Feki is no stranger to the stage having played numerous festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Beyond the Valley, Falls Festival, FOMO Festival and supported the likes of Snakehips and RL Grime.
Electronic music with soul is at the forefront of Feki’s sound. Never forgetting the importance of music resonating with his audience, Feki has built back to back powerful emotive tracks with dreamy “You Got Me” to the recent, ecstatic song, “Run Away”. Both singles have individually cracked 1 million+ streams on Spotify. Now, laced with euphoria, the anthemic track “Love You Better” transcends beyond electronic music fans as Feki graduates from solo bedroom producer and introduces the yearning vocals of Karina Wykes. The track “talks about a relationship which lacks communication. Sometimes you can get caught in a spiral and everything you both try seems to make it worse in the heat of the moment. It’s about taking a step back, slowing down, and remembering why you fell in love in the first place,” says GLADES.
Despite only entering the scene in the past two years, Feki has been consistently making waves with his original tracks and creative remixes including surpassing over 1 million streams on Soundcloud for “Nothing Last Forever” and landing airtime in the UK on BBC Radio 1 with “Remember”. Feki has also remixed the likes of international heavyweights ODESZA and Years & Years, while putting his touches on the track of local contemporaries Kilter and Vallis Alps.
