The Darebin Music Feast Songwriters’ Award is an annual songwriting competition that seeks to recognise, showcase and promote the talents of local songwriters. Around 100 entries are received each year with finalists performing before our distinguished panel of judges Sal Kimber, Monica Weightman & Tristan Goodall. There is an amazing prize package to be won including cash and studio time. Past winners include Stella Bridie, Jordie Lane, Ben Mason, Brooke Russell and Charm of Finches.
The Songwriters Award Grand Final Concert will be held on Thursday 24 October, 7.30pm at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre.
Songwriters who live, work or study in the City of Darebin are welcome to enter. The Award is open to songwriters of all ages. Songwriters are welcome to enter songs in languages other than English. Local Indigenous songwriters are particularly encouraged to enter.
