“To me Angel is about trauma and recovery. There is this cycle of repression, uncovering and healing that seems to repeat itself over and over again. I’m very drawn to imagism and I tend to apply that style to my songwriting in general which I think comes through in how I expressed my experience here. Ultimately I think it is a hopeful song that centres around the idea of always giving yourself one more chance to heal, even when you feel like things can’t get any worse. This was the first song I wrote for this record; it came together very quickly and it really shaped where I wanted to go with my writing moving forward. “- Julie Title
