COLOUR return with their brand-new single ‘MINUS’, available now via the bands own COLOUR Recordings.

Mastered at London’s famous Abbey Road studios by Christian Wright (Coldplay, Radiohead), this is COLOUR’s boldest song to date. A dark anvil of a song that singer James Tidd explains is about “how debt can pile up and yet, can be hidden easily in normal life”.

COLOUR burst on the scene last year, championed by BBC Introducing, Clash and Shortlist amongst others, they are set to release their brand-new EP ‘The Famous Boy Making Things’ in late autumn 2017. After the successful release of the EP’s first single ‘Slow’, which prompted the band to coin the genre ‘Micro-Prog’, ‘MINUS’ is a unique step forward in the same vein.

The EP was co-produced by COLOUR and Dan Swift (Kasabian, Snow Patrol) and was recorded at the band’s own COLOUR Studios on the northwest coast of England. Says Dan of the band: “Average bands sound like their heroes, good bands sound like other good bands and great bands sound like themselves. COLOUR are a great band”.

Having wowed crowds in London with gigs at ‘Gold Dust’ and ‘Birthdays’, as well as storming sets at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton and Kendal Calling, COLOUR launched the EP recently with a show at The Seabright Arms in London. They also play EBGBS in Liverpol on November 1st as part of Liverpool Live Music Week 2017.
