KDA is the mysterious producer who lurked in the shadows of London’s underground elite for years. In 2015 he started taking over radio airwaves with his music, demonstrating his craft of delivering careful and deliberate club records, loaded with charm and attitude.
Returning earlier this year, 2019 has seen KDA pay homage to his underground roots with a string of new singles all taken from the upcoming ‘Drip Feed’ EP. ‘Sex Magick’ arrived first, swiftly followed by ‘Drip Feed’, with last months ‘Scars’ receiving the ‘Friday Fire’ accolade from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard.
With musical influences spanning across the board, KDA can’t be pigeonholed into any one genre. His signature mechanized momentum sees all of the records on the ‘Drip Feed’ EP channel a balance between rigor and raucousness as he now releases the next single, ‘New York City’ featuring the legendary Amanda Lepore.
KDA’s uncompromising flair sees him blend kicks and dark synth chords in ‘New York City’. Never one to have trouble translating the most harmonious and vocal driven concepts and conjuring them into dance floor ready productions, ‘New York City’ also features the vocals of iconic performance artist and frequent David LaChapelle muse, Amanda Lepore. As an effervescent fixture on the New York and global scene, Lepore adds character and boldness to KDA’s frenetically charged sound; a craft he learnt from years spent within London’s club scene.
Returning with a club-geared catalogue of music this summer and adding to his ever-growing discography, KDA has already shown his underground credentials, remixing the likes of Sia ft Kendrick Lamar, Metronomy ft. Robyn, CHVRCHES, London Grammar, Cassius, Alma, C Duncan and Bronski Beat. 2019 continues to be marked as KDA’s most significant year to date, as he develops and builds on his underground roots which have already seen him play at Europe’s most respected clubbing institutions including Fabric, Printworks, Tobacco Dock, Ushuaïa and Amnesia.
