What is your name and role within Acid Arab?

Guido & Hervé, frontmen. Pierrot & Nicolas, studio geniuses. Kenzy, keyboards.

How did you start?

With a party! Acid Arab was a club project at first. It was born in Tunisia during a festival in 2012, and the first Acid Arab parties happened in Paris two months after.

Where are you based?

Paris.

Please give an example of your music writing process?

Playing in the studio, looking for an amazing loop, dance on it for hours, then create the track.

What are you working on right now?

A remix for Yasmine Hamdan.

What is your gear setup?

Octatrack, SH101, MacBook & Live, keyboard… That’s for the live. But in the studio, phew, you should see all we got!

What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?

We like to sleep. We like to eat. We like to drink. We like to smoke. Some of those do affect our music.

How would you describe your music genre?

A combination of Acid and Arab.

Do you know any music theory?

«Music mix the bourgeoisie and the rebel»

What are your plans for the future?

Finishing this tour, go back to the studio to prepare new ep and hopefully a second album.

Listening, caring, and respect.

What are you listening to at the moment?

The new I:Cube ep, ‘Œil Cube’, and also our future release on Acid Arab Records: Rozzma, from Cairo.
