Last night, Rita Ora unveiled the video for her hit single, Your Song. The stunning video, filmed in Vancouver, was directed by Michael Haussman (Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Madonna)
Rita’s return to form, Your Song, is only in its infancy and has already reached great heights of Top 10 on iTunes, Top 20 on Apple Music and Top 30 in Australia on Spotify. Rita being no stranger to Australian radio in the first month is also now Top 15 at national radio including adds from Nova, HIT and KIIS. Your Song is fast becoming one of the songs of the summer in the UK, Europe and US since it debuted three weeks ago. The single hit the top ten of streaming charts around the world.
The new album is the long awaited follow up album to Ora, her chart-topping debut which included the ARIA Top 10, double platinum singles RIP(feat. Tinie Tempah) and How We Do. I Will Never Let You Down peaked at #5 in Australia and is certified Platinum, while her Black Widowcollaboration with Iggy Azalea hit the top three in the US. Both Radioactive and Poison are certified Gold in Australia, peaking at #23 and #47respectively.
Rita’s career outside of music has also gone supernova over the last few years. Rita has proved an international prime-time star onscreen, as a coach on BBC’s The Voice, a judge on The X Factor UK and the host of America’s Next Top Model. She has also filmed the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogyand just wrapped filming on the film Wonderwell. She designed 15 best-selling collections for Adidas, became the Ambassador for Rimmel and adesigner for Tezenis. Whatever Rita takes on, she makes a statement.
Since Rita’s last release she has not stopped performing, wowing audiences on some of the most prestigious stages around the world from The Vatican(at the canonisation of Mother Teresa) to Glastonbury to the White House. In February 2015, Rita delivered a stirring performance of her Diane Warrenpenned song Grateful on the 87th annual Academy Awards. “I cannot wait to take these new songs out on tour, that’s what I live for. As soon as I get the chance I’m going to hit the road with a band.”
