ROYAL BLUE 3000 EP OUT NOW
In their first Australian performances since 2013, Ladi6 will launch the tour in Sydney joined by deep-funk RnB trio The Goods and local DJ, producer and tastemaker DIOLA, before making their way to Brisbane supported by RnB songstress Tiana Khasi and electronic hip-hop artist Jesswar. They’ll move on through to Melbourne with DJ sets from wavy, soulful beat-maker Amin Payne and the eclectic,boundary-pushing Sean Deans to open the evening, and round off their string of dates in Cairns for a three-night residency at The Reef Hotel.
The Royal Blue 3000 EP has enthralled listeners around the country, with singles such as ‘Guru’ and ‘Royal Blue’ added to radio rotation nationwide, including on Double J, 4ZZZ, FBi Radio and RTRFM to name a few. The dreamy record has drawn comparisons to the likes of Erykah Badu and Australia’s own Hiatus Kaiyote and featured in countless Best New Music lists, praised for “fusing hip hop and futuristic soul with flair” (The AU Review) and described as a “cosmic, surfed-up soundscape that fluctuates somewhere between outer space and underwater.“ (Purple Sneakers)
