In an Australian-first, Melbourne Zoo will host the National GeographicPhoto Ark from 1 July – 1 October, an exclusive exhibition using the power of photography to inspire people to save animals before it’s too late.
Nat Geo photographer Joel Sartore is pursuing the ambitious goal of photographing every species in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, to inspire action through education, and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation projects.
Melbourne Zoo’s new exhibition will feature over 50 of Sartore’s most compelling images, many taken at Melbourne Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary.
The National Geographic Photo Ark exhibition will be open from 1 July – 1 October. Entry is included with general admission to Melbourne Zoo.
