KICKS OFF SOLD OUT EAST COAST TOUR AS HE HITS 40+ MILLION STREAMS
ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL SIGNINGS
Kicking off his SOLD OUT Australian east coast headline tour in his hometown of Sydney last night, Dean Lewis today shares his new single ‘Lose My Mind’ and announces his international signing to Island Records in the USA & UK and Universal in Canada, Germany, Sweden, France and Holland.
The new single, ‘Lose My Mind’, is the third single lifted from his EP Same Kind Of Different. Dean’s debut single from the EP ‘Waves’ is also now officially double platinum in Australia.
Produced by John Castle (Vance Joy, Paul Kelly) in Melbourne, Dean says, “Lose My Mind could be my favourite song on the EP, it’s about how you feel when you are on the verge of losing someone and you feel like you can’t live without them. It’s like the first night without that person who has been there for you. I remember feeling like the walls were closing in cause that person who I could always turn to was gone. That felt like losing my mind.”
he Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis first captured the attention of fans and music tastemakers around the world with the release of ‘Waves’ which peaked at # 12 on the ARIA singles chart, #16 on the Hot 100 Airplay, Top 10 on iTunes, Top 15 on Spotify chart. His follow-up single ‘Need You Now’ was instantly added to triple j reached #1 Alt airplay and most played on Triple J alongside Tash Sultana.
Dean Lewis is already earning a reputation as a captivating live act having supported indie darlings Lisa Mitchell and Boo Seeka, played in front of thousands at Groovin in the Moo (AUS) and the Great Escape Festival (UK) and shows in the UK and Europe including seven sold out shows at the 7 Layers tour in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Dean’s debut EP, Same Kind Of Different also includes songs produced by Edd Holloway and Nick Atkinson (Gabrielle Aplin) and mixed by Dan Grech (Halsey, Josef Salvat).
Following the Australian tour, Dean will be heading to the US & UK performing on the below dates.
